Harold Eugene Giles, age 53, of Panama City Beach, FL, passed away on November 23, 2018. Harold was born in Waterville, Maine to parents, Charles Edward Giles and Alma Rose Garnett. Harold was a self-employed painter on the beach for 20 plus years. He loved to go deep sea fishing and eat oysters. Harold was a solid man. He was a contagious person – once you got to know him you wanted to know him forever. He was magnetic and very proud he had painted Stephen King’s home and that Stephen King and his wife took Harold and his painting crew out to dinner for Maine lobster. Harold is predeceased by his father; he is survived by his fiancé, Lisa Sullivan, of Panama City Beach, Florida; his mother, Alma Rose Garnett of Maine; his children, John (Sarah) Giles, Scott (June) Giles, and Ashleigh Irene Giles; brothers, Steve Giles and Charlie (Theresa) Giles; sister, Helen (Doyle) Davis; numerous nieces, especially Brandi Lopez, Cher Adams and Deanna Flores; grandchildren, Realynn, Lincoln, Leon, Brooklyn, Gabriella, Dominic, Natalie Rose, AJ, Skylar and Shane.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 219 Alf Coleman Road, Panama City Beach, FL 32407. The family will receive friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the YANA Beach Club, 8715 Laird Street, Panama City Beach, FL 32408.
