George S Jolly. Jr

George Strickland Jolly Jr, 84, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday morning, October 19, 2019.

Born June 12, 1935 in Arcadia, Florida, he was the son of the late George Strickland Jolly and Effye Mclenna Jolly.

He was married to Phyllis P Jolly who preceded him to glory and survived by his two sons, George Jolly, III and his wife, Cynthia of Shalimar, FL, and Bruce Jolly and his wife, Kim of Fort Walton Beach, FL; his sister, Mary Louise Shallit; four grandchildren, Bethany, Bo, Luke and Kandace and four great-grandchildren, Ellie, Bryn, Annette, and Haven.

George served in the Navy as a corpsman and went to the University of Florida on the GI bill.  He was a pharmacist for over 30 years in the Fort Walton Beach area.  He had a great love for Southern Gospel Music with the Gaither Homecoming his favorite show.  He was the consummate outdoorsman and hunter.  He was scuba diving and spear fishing at the same time Jacques Cousteau was making it famous.  He hunted anything that could be put on the dinner table and was an expert marksman with both bow and rifle.

The Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Cinco Baptist Church. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the church with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cinco Baptist Church Benevolence Fund to help the needy in the area.
