Gary William Brown

Gary William Brown passed away peacefully in the late evening hours of March 26, 2023. Gary, the son of Edward and Virginia, was born on October 5, 1941, in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen and his son Scott. Gary is survived by his two children: Son, Kenneth Brown (Donna) and Daughter, Robyn Bell Brown. He was immensely proud of his Grandchildren: Cecily Brown (Fiancé Christian Compton), Aaron Brown (Monica), Jeremy Bell (Fiancé Tiffany Rose), and Great-grandchildren Jonathon Brown and Aiden Brown.

Gary served this great nation by enlisting into the United States Air Force at the age of 17, receiving several commendations and awards in the years that followed. He honorably retired as a Tech Sergeant, E6 after 20 years of dedicated service. Upon completing his military career, Gary successfully pursued his lifelong passion of becoming a professional golfer and earned his PGA card. Gary maintained his PGA membership for a decade, playing and competing professionally, and then teaching the sport he loved to aspiring golfers and friends.

Gary Brown will be greatly missed but his family is comforted that Gary is joining his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has been reunited with the ladies of his past, his mother, Virginia and the love of his life, Karen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 PM and Funeral Services with Full Military Honors and a Gun Salute beginning at 1:00 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road NW, Fort Walton Beach.
