Dominic John DeLuca

Retired Master Sergeant Dominic John De Luca, age 89, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL passed away on 9 October 2019 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center.  Dominic was born on 5 October 1930 in Milwaukee, WI.  He married Patricia Jensen on 28 November 1953 and celebrated 53 years of marriage until her passing in 2006.

Dominic joined the US Army on 1 May 1948 where he served 26 years of active service including service during the Korea and Vietnam conflicts.  His decorations include: Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal (second Oak Leaf Cluster), Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry (Palm Device), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Korean Service Medal.

Dominic is survived by a sister, Conchetta De Luca of California; brothers, Theodore De Luca (and wife Bridgette) of Wisconsin, Charles De Luca (and wife Tina) of Ohio, and Joseph De Luca of Wisconsin; Daughters, Mary Boyle (Shideko De Luca-Terai) and Mary Ann De Luca-Ferguson, and three grandchildren, Dominic Scaffidi, Salvatore Scaffidi, and Rigel Cable.

Services will be held at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Tuesday, 15 October 2019 at 2 PM.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.  Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery on Wednesday, 16 October 2019 at 11 AM.
