Debra Lynn Wardencki (Beck) was born in Mineral Wells, Texas to Linda and John Morris.  Debbie graduated from Choctawatchee Senior High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and she graduated from Christopher Newport College with a Bachelor in Psychology.

 

Debbie was married to Ski Wardencki in a beautiful beach ceremony in June 1993.  Through Ski’s military career, Debbie travelled throughout the United States and Europe with their two children Andy and David.  After Ski retired at Hulburt Field, Debbie came to work for Northup Grumman, 505th, and Boeing over the course of 15 years.  She retired in 2015 to care for her family.  Debbie is well loved and missed by her colleagues at Hulburt Field.

 

Debbie learned she had Lung Adenocarcinoma in November 2016 after being hospitalized at Baptist Hospital.  She was hospitalized again in December and April for treatment at both MD Anderson Cancer centers Sacred Heart Cancer centers.  On April 13th, it was determined that Debbie would go to in-home hospice and on May 7, 2017 at 3:30am, Debbie passed away at a Covenant facility located in the West Florida Hospital.

 

Debbie is proceeded in death by her son, David Wardencki, mother, Linda Beck, and sister, Susan Beck.  Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Ski Wardencki, her son, Andy Wardencki and his partner, Shannon Wade and her children and grandson, David Wardencki.  She is also survived by her brother, John Beck and sister, Cheyenne Beck and her partner, Matthew Clarke.  Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews: John Biggs, Sarah Godfrey, Jamie Cline, and Brad Raines and several great nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.  Lastly, she is survived by the many friends from the 505th, Boeing, her neighborhood and friends she made around the world and the countless others that loved her dearly.

 

A celebration of life will occur on June 3rd, 2017 at the 505th Auditorium at 10:30am with a potluck lunch to occur afterwards.
