Daniel Frederick Martin

Daniel Frederick Martin, died peacefully on 08-16-2019 at home in Shalimar, FL at the age of 78.  Daniel Martin is survived by his wife, Joan C. Martin of Shalimar, FL; children, Teresa J. Grimes (Ross) and Michael F. Martin of Shalimar, FL. Grandchildren, Sabrina Grimes of Sumter, S.C., Jessica Atkinson (Leslie) of Sumter, S.C. and Rachel Martin of Martinsville, IN; Great Grandchildren, Madison Fraser and Paizleigh Atkinson and close friends, Paul Sampson, Jeanne Zoldak, Tiffani Hayes, and John Allen.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Martin and Lucille Martin, as well as his Aunt Helen French, all of Honesdale, PA; and In laws, Eugene and Mary Harper of Savannah, GA;

Daniel Martin was born on May 5, 1941 in Honesdale, PA. He graduated from High School in 1956.  He served proudly in the United States Air Force from April 1958 until his retirement in December 1978.  Daniel enjoyed bowling as well as watching the New England Patriots play.  His children remember him as a kind father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 12:00 P.M.  Interment will take place at Beal Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
