Daniel “Danny” Edward Bell also known as local radio legend DJ Skip Davis, age 61, found peace and passed in his slumber December 3, 2019 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center ending his fight with stage IV metastatic renal cancer. Skip was born on Kinley Air Force Base, in Bermuda May 1958. Skip is well known in the community for his big heart and larger than life personality as country radio host for the last 38 years along the Emerald Coast. Skip had a true passion for radio and a fondness for all his listeners. Skip was a loving and devoted Son, Husband, Father, and PopPop. He most enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was grilling out, watching sports or sharing nostalgic stories. Skips enthusiasm and joyful spirit carried on even through his diagnosis, he was #SkipStrong. Family and friends of Skip will hold dearly all the memories and treasure the blessing it is to have had such a great man in their lives. Skip is survived by his wife of 23 years Michele Lynn Bell, his daughters Aryn Fenton, wife of John Fenton, Alyse Webster, wife of Bradley Webster from his first marriage to their mother Charylene Godwin, wife of Ronald Godwin, stepdaughters Sierra Goehl, common law to Matthew Carpenter and Harley Goehl, as well as his grandchildren Spencer Fenton, Ariel Peralta, Logan Fenton, Kaleb Fenton, Clayton Goehl and Miles Fenton. Skip is predeceased by Mother Peggy Notley and Father Rex Bell, and grandchildren Amelia Fenton and Baby Webster. A private ceremony for family friends and radio family will be held on December 15th. A Celebration of Life will be held after the new year, date and details will be publicly announced at a later date.
