Cristi C. Chester

Cristi C. Chester, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in Shalimar, FL.  Cristi was born in Tokyo, Japan to parents, Charles Lee Coons and Una Drexel “Drex” Duke.  After graduating from Choctaw High School, Cristi received a Bachelor’s of Science from Florida State University and then went on to receive a Master’s Degree from the State University of New York (SUNY).  Cristi was also a celebrated, award – winning artist.  She is survived by her husband, Michael Chester; daughters, Jennifer Sanz and Lauren Chester; grandson, Oscar Thomas Sanz and son in law, Oscar Sanz.

For those that wish to celebrate her life, the family will be gathering at The Back Porch in Destin on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.  Per her wishes, she will be cremated and her remains returned back to nature.

In memory of Cristi C. Chester, a donation can be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in her name. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
