Clyde Allen McCray was born on October 25, 1938 in Jasper, Florida to the late Samuel and Mary McCray. He entered his eternal journey on January 20, 2020.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Yvette Harbour; brother, Sam McCray; son, Austin McCray and daughter, Denella Joseph. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Lizzie McCray; six children, Nathaniel (Pamela) Williams, Francoise Williams, Devon Pruitt, Selena (Robert) Bruton, Yvette Laster, Nannette McCray and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
MSgt Clyde Allen McCray served in the United States Air Force and retired after 23 years of service as an Electronic Technician. His military career included services in the Korean and Vietnam War. He went on to complete almost 20 years of Civil Service. Clyde was devoted to his family as well as the community. He was a dedicated member of Oakland Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and choir member. He selflessly used his God given skills to serve in the local community in true Christian fashion, no expectation of reward.
