Tribute

Bryan Ahern, age 47, of Ft Walton Beach, FL left this world for a better place on Thursday, November 29, 2018.  He was born to Douglas and Patricia Ahern on July 19, 1971 in Rapid City, SD and was a longtime resident of the local area.  He will be long remembered for being a talented chef, loving son, brother, life partner, father, and grandfather.   He is survived by his parents; sisters, Shannon (Chad) Yunk and Shawn (Andrew) Velasquez; life partner, Crystal Daugherty; daughters Kendalle and Kyla Ahern, Rebecca Daugherty; nieces, Fallon Riley, Ava and Olivia Velasquez, and granddaughter Lyric Rose Chapman.  Over the years, Bryan shared his passion for the culinary arts through preparing fine cuisine in many restaurants both locally and in New Orleans, and the many cooking classes he conducted at Clemenza’s in Uptown Station.  He found relaxation in fishing and enjoying local beaches.  He remains in our hearts forever and will be missed by his many friends and those with whom he shared his culinary talents.  The family will receive visitors at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Catholic Charities of NWFL https://ccnwfl.org 11 First St SE, Ft.
