Charles “Charlie” W. Wright, Jr., age 75, was born on 22 February 1942 in Bennettsville, S. C. to Charles and Frances Wright.  He passed away on 15 February 2018.   Charlie worked at the Ft. Walton Beach Fire Department for 35 years where he earned a degree in Fire Science Management and retired as Deputy Fire Chief.  Charlie had a passion for golf and worked part-time, after retirement, at the Ft. Walton Beach Golf Course for  17 years.   Charlie is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 50+ years, Darlene Wright, and daughter, Kristine Wright, brothers;  Edward [Brenda] and Jerry [Barbara] Wright of Laurinburg, N. C.  He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.    

    Charlie will be remembered as a kind, caring, loving and thoughtful husband and father.    A Memorial Service will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, Ft. Walton Bch. on Friday, 23 February 2018 at 11:00 A. M.  Immediately following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering at 239 Brooks Street, S.E., Ft.
