Bobby J. Lanier Born 20 September 1934 in Nashville Tennessee to Alice Legardy – Stocard (Joe Myers Sr. Biological Father), and adopted at birth by Ben Lanier.  Bobbie J. Lanier transitioned to eternal rest on 19 November 2020 at home in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  He was proceeded in death by his Mother, Biological Father, Adopted father, Brothers; Ben Lanier Jr., Howard Lanier of Nashville Tennessee and Sister, C. J. McClure of Columbus Ohio.  He is survived by his Loving Son, Maurice G. Lanier Sr. (Yolanda)-Ocala, Florida, Grandchildren; Maurice G Lanier Jr., Miyana G. Lanier - Live Oak Florida, and Maursean Lanier - Ocala, Florida; Special Daughter, Tatyana D. Books (Otis) of Live Oak Florida; Bonus Grandchildren, Jakira Q. Bellamy - Valdosta GA and Tyler J. Hicks - Live Oak Florida;  Godchildren, Corey Davis – St. Petersburg FL, Marion Stroud – Lake City FL, and Jerry Seymore – Ft, Walton Beach FL.  He also leaves surviving siblings; Brothers Joe Myers Jr. (Ophelia) - Orange Village, Ohio, John Myers (Brenda) - Nashville, TN, and Sister Mamie Brown - Philadelphia PA. He also leaves behind a host of Loving Nieces, Nephews and Good Friends

Bobbie J. Lanier grew up in the Nashville TN area attending Holy Family Catholic School.  Upon Graduation he entered the United States Air Force where he served faithfully for 20 plus years and honorably discharged upon retirement.  He continued active in the work force as a Logistics Specialist in Civil Service at Eglin AFB Florida until retirement. He then pursued another great love Golfing.

Bobbie  was initiated in Free Masonry, Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge, Florida, Belize Central America Jurisdiction, PHA Inc. in March 1983 and was a faithful member of J.R.L. Conyers Lodge #364 where he served as Chaplain and Chairman of the Sunshine, Sick, and Distressed committee and undertook responsibility as the prime contact with the lodge members Widows.   He was exalted into the Holy Royal Arch Masons serving in Maxwell Chapter #115.  He was also a dedicated member and Charter Member of Idris Temple #239, Ancient Arabic Egyptian Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine.
