Anthony (Tony) Eugene Sementilli, 56, of Niceville, Florida, suddenly passed away on April 14, 2022.
Tony was born on 9 January 1966 at Fort Dixx, New Jersey. He joined the United States Air Force in 1987 and trained as an aircraft maintainer. He had a decorated career spanning 24 years in the Air Force, before retiring in 2011 at the rank of Master Sergeant. During that time, he was stationed at RAF Alconbury, McChord AFB, Robbins AFB, Dyess AFB, and Eglin AFB. He worked on numerous airframes in multiple locations spanning the globe, ensuring mission readiness. After his career in the Air Force, Tony began working for Lockheed Martin in 2011. He spent 11 years at Lockheed Martin working on AC-130Js. Tony was a servant leader to his core. He always put others before himself. He had a fierce passion for what he did and the people around him, which included always making sure all tools were accounted for.
Tony married his loving wife, Sandy, in June 1999. They spent 22 wonderful years growing their family and Air Force careers together.
Tony was a devoted family man and avid craftsman. You could often find Tony working on cars, building furniture, renovating the family home, and teaching his kids during every project. When not working, Tony loved a trip to Disney with his wife, Sandy, and casting his favorite lure.
Tony is survived by his loving spouse of 22 years, Sandy, their two children, Samantha (Sementilli) Grudgen (and Matthew), and Michael Sementilli. He had one grandchild, Francis. He also leaves behind a mother, Geraldine Sementilli, and 4 siblings, Christine Ross, Francis Sementilli II, Gerald Sementilli, and Mary Price. Tony also left his beloved dogs, Ginger, Poirot, Buzz Lighteyear, and Tinkerbell. He was predeceased by his father, Francis Sementilli, who passed in 2017.
The viewing will be held on Monday, April 25, at 11:00 am, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The service will follow at 12:00 pm. The family will have visitation after the funeral at 3rd Planet Brewing-The Mothership at 2:00 pm.
