Andrew Robert Schneider

Andrew Robert Schneider, age 32, of Crestview, FL, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018.  He was born December 28, 1985 to Donald E. Schneider and Cynthia J. Plate.

Andrew graduated from high school early in 2003 and joined the Army in July of 2003 at the age of 17 and spent time in Iraq.  Upon returning from the Army he moved to Virginia Beach and pursued his education at Tidewater Community College where he received his Associate of Science Degree with a major in Social Sciences in December 2012.  After graduation he moved home and found work at Pool Equipment and Supply, where he became an Assistant Branch Manager.

Survivors include his mother, Cynthia (Tom) Plate; his father Donald Earl Schneider; his longtime girlfriend, Stefani Downs; his grandparents, Ron & Lola Bird; his sisters, Casey Mata, Sara (Nicolas) Gebbia, Amanda (Josh) McDonald; his brother, Matthew Plate; nieces and nephews, Desiree, Eleno, Dominic, Abby, Seth, Amayha and Alyssa.

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 5 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from a quarter of 4 until the service hour.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to their Go Fund Me page on Facebook for the college funds of his nieces and nephews.  Expressions of love and sympathy may placed and viewed online at www.emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com
