Alma Lee Garrett, age 92, of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away on December 31, 2019. Alma was born in Munson, FL to Katie and Samp Daniels on April 11, 1927. She attended school in Crestview, FL where she met the love of her life, Alcus Lamar Garrett. Alma and Lamar married on January 28, 1949 and raised two beloved daughters, Krista Garrett Clark of Saint Johns, FL and Patsy Garrett Hill of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Alma’s life revolved around her husband and daughters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her love of family, Alma was a devoted Christian. She was a loyal member of Trinity United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Her interests extended to gardening, reading, painting, collecting clowns, playing cards, dancing and traveling.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, Lamar Garrett. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Krista and Fred Clark and Patsy and Mike Hill. She is also survived by two grandsons and their wives, Michael and Katie Hill and Matthew and Becca Hill, and three great granddaughters, Josephine Hill, Evangeline Hill and Parker Hill, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 6 at 11:00 A.M. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home followed by a reception.
