Alan Lee Brewer

Alan Lee Brewer, of Fort Walton Beach, passed away Monday July 30, 2018.  He was born February 7, 1958 in Bitburg, Germany, the son of Bob and Sandra Brewer. Alan will be greatly missed by his parents; his brother Bob of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter Rebecca Nutzman (Alan) and his granddaughter Justine of Henderson, Nevada; and a step-daughter Ashley George (Bobby) and children of Arkansas.  He is predeceased by his sister Karen Hough.  Alan, the son of military parents, has lived in France and in several stateside locations.  During high school in Grand Forks, North Dakota, he was involved with the ROTC and after graduation in 1976 he joined the USAF and served his country for 6 years.  He worked in real estate but eventually became a barber.  He worked in Arkansas and for the last 20 years he was the owner and operator of Alan’s Original Barber Shop on Miracle Strip Parkway.  He was also quite an artist, a hobby he had a natural talent for.  He trained with the Bob Ross art program and has many works that show his love of painting.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday August 6, 2018 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
