Robert Mann

March 2, 1951 ~ December 20, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Robert “Bob” Mann, age 66, passed away Dec. 20, 2017, at his home in Shalimar, Fla.

Bob, a longtime resident of Northwest Florida, impacted many people in the community through his involvement with volunteer groups and as a physical therapist at White Sands Physical Therapy, the clinic he owned with his wife Suzanne in Fort Walton Beach.

Since 1998, Bob and his associates at the clinic have treated thousands of patients and helped them increase mobility, recover from injury and live healthier lives.

Bob met his wife Suzanne in the mid-70s at Pandora’s Wreck, a disco on Okaloosa Island. She was impressed with his dance moves. The couple shared many interests over their 39-year marriage, but especially enjoyed scuba diving and camping.

Bob was an active vocalist with the Shalimar United Methodist Church choir and other ensembles. He also enjoyed recreational flying and boating.

When not busy with his passions, he spent his time with a large, close-knit family. Gatherings at their home regularly include 15 to 20 guests. Bob was very close with his grandchildren. He will be missed at the head of the table.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his father, Merle Mann; three brothers and one sister; his daughter, Julieanne Stringfellow, and husband, Brian; his son, Preston Mann, and wife, Monique; four grandchildren; in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be scheduled after the first of the year at Shalimar United Methodist Church.
