Richard Eugene Taylor, age 84, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, December 6, 2017.  He was born September 24, 1933 in Ft. Walton Beach, FL to the late Richard Taylor and Lorene Bryant Taylor.

Gene was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He owned and operated Gene’s Auto Parts for 39 years.  He loved people and loved to fish.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Derotha Mincey Taylor; his sons, Richard E. Jr. (Sheila) Taylor of Monroe, NC and Joseph Ray Taylor of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Richard “Chad” Taylor and Amberly Ann Taylor; a great grandchild, Addison; his sister, Vera Hibbs of Ohio; and an aunt, Laurece Madden of Niceville, FL.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2 PM at the Chapel of Emerald Coast Funeral Home with Dr. Howard Gates officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
