SMSGT, Maxine L. Bookman age 62 of Shalimar passed away July 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family, following a long fight with Cancer. Maxine is from Mobile, AL. After graduating high school in 1971, Maxine went on to join the United States Air Force spending 26 years in faithful service as a Transportation Specialist. Maxine was married to Scott Bookman III in 1981. They have two sons; Dwight K. (Alfie) Tucker, Dietrick S. (Sharita) Bookman. Combined they have 8 grandchildren; Joshua, Daniel, Franklin, Jamal, Dietrick Jr., Derricka, Christoper and Dynaisa. Maxine is survived by her husband of 36 years Scott Bookman, her dear mother Ms. Mary F. Jackson of Mobile, AL, four brothers-in-law, five sister-in-laws, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends the world over. Maxine is a member of the Eglin Air Force Base Gospel Service where she served as part of the music and usher ministry. Services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, 11:00am at the Beulah Baptist Church 109 McGriff St NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola on July 17, 2017 11:00am.
