My sincere condolences. Maxine will always be remembered as a genuine, warm, and caring woman. She will truly be missed. As SMSgt Bookman, Maxine was one of the finest Senior NCO's that ever served in my Command (96th Transportation Squadron). May God watch over her as she joins Tamara in Heaven.

My heart aches for Scott and the Bookman family to lose Maxine recently in death, way too soon. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection.
John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day".
John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."
John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life.
I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of Joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times. The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences.

To the Bookman Family,
God has called his angel home! Though there may be a void today, hold onto the memories of all the love and joy Ms. Maxine gave to all she encountered. Her compassion and understanding goes without saying. I will never forget the words of wisdom she imparted during my time at Eglin as a member of the Daughters of Zion. God's word says "Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning!" Rejoice that Ms. Maxine is free to enjoy every day without pain; she now watches over each of you until you all meet again in our Father's mansion!
Keeping you in prayer as God embraces your family in the days ahead.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mrs. Bookman's passing. She was an angel here on earth as she is in heaven now. I loved her beautiful spirit she was so kind and generous to my mother as my mother fought her battle. Now, they can both be Daughter's of Zions in the Lord's heavenly choir.
