Linda Kay Robishaw, age 74, of Shalimar Florida passed away on February 16, 2018.  Linda was born in Fort Scott Kansas to Alvin and Eunice Ford on February 3, 1944.  She was an only child and her parents delight.  Linda was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, 20 of which were with the United States Air Force.  After retiring as a Major she loved helping people so much that she continued to practice nursing in private offices and nursing homes in the Okaloosa County area.  Linda spent her free time eating out with her husband and “gourmet” friends, sewing in her sewing room at home, quilting with the Lutheran quilting women on Wednesday’s, attending  bible study on Mondays, church on Sundays, with a few stops to find antiques or “treasures” along the way.  Linda was an active member of the Shalimar United Methodist Church where you could find her volunteering at the Family Life Center, Holly Fair, MOPS, bus ministry, and every other time they opened the doors and let her come in.  Linda is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, Howard Robishaw; daughters Stacy ( Wes) Jones of Heber City, Utah and Lisa (Ryan) Forester of Katy, Texas.  Affectionately known as “Mamaw” to her seven grandchildren, Liana, Hunter, and Paisley Jones; Loralei, Leighton, Lennox, and Landry Forester.   A celebration of life will be held on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home with a reception to follow.  The family invites friends and relatives to join them for the celebration of life, and asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of your choice, with a heart of helping like Linda had for her entire adult life.
