MSgt (Ret) Lawrence Raphael Weinzetl passed away June 3, 2017.  Beloved husband of 44 years to Noelle.  Beloved, father to Stacy Green, Robert, Richard and Patti Weinzetl, Stepfather of Bill Patton and Cheryl, grandfather of twelve, and great-grandfather of five. Brother to Marge, Therese, Fidelis, and Dolores and preceded in death by parents: Alvina and George, and siblings: Gerald, Wally, John, Agnes, and Vince.

Larry was born in 1937 in Currie, Minnesota,  the youngest of ten on his parents’ farm.  He enlisted in the Air Force at 18 and during his career earned many medals and citations including his treasured Bronze star with V device for bravery under attack during the Vietnam conflict.  He served honorably for 25 years. Never one to sit still, he retired from another career with Modern Woodmen of America, and worked with Okaloosa Coordinated Transportation for many years.  After that, Larry and his daughter, Stacy, were co-owners of Forever I Do Weddings.  Along with his business, he helped his wife, Noelle, with her flower shop on a daily basis.  Both businesses would not be the successes that they are today without him.

Larry was always a family man and never rested for a moment in his amazing life.  His passing leaves a void that can never be filled.  He blessed and made an impact on all that knew him and he is now heaven’s most precious angel.  Always loved, always remembered and never to be forgotten.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 11 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home from 5 to 7pm.  On  Monday, June 12 there will be visitation from 9 to 10am with the funeral service at 10am.  Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2pm.  A celebration of life for Larry will be Monday, June 12 from 5 to 7pm at Two Trees Restaurant at the Fort Walton Beach Golf Course.  In lieu of flowers, Larry always said he wanted family and friends to do something special for their own family instead.
