In Loving Memory: Captain Larry Williams

Born July 12, 1960 ~ April 4, 2024

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Williams. And is survived by his mother Betty Williams, son Kenneth Williams, sisters Marie Caton and Jeralynn Scott.

Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at Captain Royal Melvin Heritage Park, 206 Harbor Boulevard, Destin, FL on Thursday April 18, 2024. Friends and family will gather at 11am with Chaplain Thomas Phillips presiding. Light refreshments will be served so please bring a lawn chair or enjoy the grass. It is pay to park or local residents can obtain passes at city hall in Destin.

Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Captain Larry Williams, a man whose spirit was as boundless as the open sea. His weathered hands held not only the wheel of his vessel but also the hearts of those who knew him. Captain Larry Williams was more than a sailor; he was a storyteller. His tales wove together the fabric of our shared adventures—the storms weathered, the sunsets witnessed, and the stars that guided him home. With each word, he transported us to distant shores, where mermaids sang and lost treasures awaited discovery.

His laughter echoed across the waves, a symphony of resilience and joy. In the quiet moments, when the sea whispered its secrets, he listened intently. For Captain Larry Williams, the ocean was both muse and confidante—a vast canvas upon which he painted memories that would endure beyond tides and time.

He taught us that courage wasn’t just about navigating tempests; it was about embracing the unknown with a steadfast heart.
