Karl E. Swenson age 70, of Fort Walton Beach went home to be with his Lord on May 30, 2017. He was born in 1947 to parents  Everitt V. and Mary A. White (Falter) Swenson. Karl will be remembered for his many years of charitable and faithful service to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and as a lay apostolate at the House of St. Joseph. Karl loved to make and promote the Rosary. Every Rosary he made was with love and prayer. He proudly served over 20 years in the United States Air Force before retiring. Karl is preceded in death by his father Everitt V. Swenson, and his grandparents Thelma and Urban Falter. He is survived by his faithful wife of 34 years Corazon Ramos Swenson; his mother, Mary A. White; four sisters, Carol Foley, Teri (Craig) Masters, Kim (Jeff) Cover and Jackie (Tammy) Swenson; 5 grandchildren with one more on the way the end of June, as well as, 9 nieces and nephews.    The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 7 from 6pm till 8pm at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Rd. NW, Fort Walton Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 8th 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 110 St. Mary Avenue, SW Fort Walton Beach, FL. There will be some time of visitation at the church starting at 10am with the Rosary at 10:40am. There will be a reception immediately following the service. Interment will follow on Friday, June 9th, 10am at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in honor of Karl to the National Kidney Cancer Foundation 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016
