Joseph B. Monturo, age 92, of Mary Esther, passed away on the 24th of November after a brief illness.  He was born on January 3, 1925 to parents, Joseph A. and Elizabeth Monturo.
After graduating from the Bronx High School of Science, the Army called and Joe served his country during WWII in Europe.  After his discharge he continued his education with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Pratt Institute in N.Y.  After retiring from his last employer, Harris Industries, he moved to Florida and remarried.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Irene; son, Thomas; and his only sister, Betty.  He is survived by his wife, Brigitte; son, Joey (Michelle); grandchildren, Eric, Christy and Joey; stepdaughters, Mary Ann Cumler (Bill) and Christina Ruckel; and step-grandchildren, Emily Cumler, Chase Delane and Phillip Ruckel.
A memorial mass will be conducted Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ft. Walton Beach at 11 AM with visitation and Rosary at 10:30 AM.  Interment will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:30am.
