Joseph Francis Nacchia, Sr.

1929- 2018

Joseph (Joe) F. Nacchia, Sr., age 88 of Fort Walton Beach passed away peacefully February 5, 2018. He was born September 13, 1929 in Wilmington, Delaware. Joe was a veteran of the US Navy & US Air Force proudly serving his country from 1946 to 1968 moving to Ft. Walton Beach with his family in 1972. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kiyoe “Emi” Nacchia, son Joe Nacchia, Jr., daughter in-law Kim, his only grandchild Alexandra (Alex), son Nick and special friend Audrey Phillips.  The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Select Specialty Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital (Pensacola) and Covenant Hospice at Sacred Heart Hospital. These facilities were instrumental in caring for our loved one during his illness.  Joe was proud of his Italian ancestry, loved God, his family, his country and his friends! He was loyal, honest, hardworking, and cared for others. Joe had a special place in his heart for children at St. Jude’s Hospital, donating to their cause regularly.
