Harry Crymes Hitchcock of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida died on July 23, 2017. He was born March 17, 1942 to Matthew Crymes (Jack) Hitchcock and Mabel Claire Sheffield Hitchcock of Pine Hill, Alabama. He is survived by his sister Jane Hitchcock, Montgomery, Alabama, his brother Jack Hitchcock, Lake Martin, Alabama and Donnie Clanton and Charlie Jacobs, who are like brothers to him. Special thanks go to Kerry and Angie Metts and Octavia Owens, who are friends as well as caretakers.

Harry earned his BS from Howard College (Samford University) where he played football for Coach Bobby Bowden. He received his Master's Degree from Livingston University (University of West Alabama), where he was a graduate assistant. Harry taught and coached football in Carrolton, Thomasville, Atmore, Huntsville, Niceville and Clanton where he coached with Joe Nettles, a lifelong friend. Later he got a degree in Special Education and taught in Okeechobee, Florida. He has many friends from his coaching and teaching days.

Harry is a legend in Pine Hill where he had many adventures and told many entertaining stories.
