In loving memory of Freda Veronica Riley, 1962 – 2017. Freda, age 55, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare on July 4, 2017.
Freda was born in 1962, in Fort Walton Beach, FL. While she struggled with cerebral palsy from birth, Freda was a wonderfully happy and cheerful person. She loved her family, and was always beaming with a smile on her face. She will now reunite with her late parents Franklin D. and Gladys L. Cox Riley of Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Freda is survived by 1 brother, Officer Kenneth W. Riley, Ret. (Angela) of College Park, GA; 5 sisters, Cassandra L. Pfalzer (Rodney) of Jacksonville, FL; Debra A. Riley-Broadnax of Navarre, FL; Glenda D. Riley (David) of Arlington, TX; Tammy D. Riley of Lithonia, GA; Frankie L. Riley of Fort Walton Bch, FL; 2 step-sisters, Lucy Hawkins (Larry) of Woodbridge, VA; and Carolyn Walker (Damon) of Panama City, FL; 2 maternal uncles, Robert Cox of Birmingham, AL, and Joseph Cox (Tonya) of McCalla, AL; 2 maternal aunts, Ollie R. Russell and Annie C. Lee both of Crestview, FL; 3 paternal aunts Eunice Altman (J.B., deceased) of Fort Walton Bch, FL, Sarah Riley (Cyrus, deceased) of Lynn Haven, FL, and Mary Williams (Al, deceased) of Cleveland, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; special friend Robin Mitchell-Stott of Tallahassee, FL; and wonderful neighbors.
A visitation will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, July 7, 2017. All family and friends are invited. Homegoing services will be conducted at 1pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Cox officiating. Following services, burial will take place at Beal Memorial Cemetery. The family will return to Emerald Coast Funeral Home for repast.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
