Edna “Edie” Earl McGadney-Crook, 67, of Panama City, FL, was called to heaven on March 19, 2017 after a long valiant fight with end-stage Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.  Her strong will to live and unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through 4 years of treatment.

Visitation will be will be held @ Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, on March 24, 2017 from 1700-1900.

Funeral Services will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, FL on March 25, 2017 @ 1100 am.  Pastor Larry Carter will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Fort Walton Beach Cemetery.  Emerald Coast Funeral Home will be handling funeral arrangement/services.

Edie was born in Panama City, FL to Earl McGadney Sr. and Fannie Mae Works-McGadney, on October 19, 1949.  She attended school at Oscar Patterson Elementary and Rosenwald High School.

She is survived by the love of her life, Jesse D. Crook, whom she shared 46 wonderful years in matrimony, two children Daughter; Rosalind Crook-Duckett (Vincent) and Son Corey Crook (Benita), Five Grandchildren; Anthony Crook, Andrea Sellers (Dante) Kelsey Walsh, Andrew Duckett and Jordan Crook, One Great-Granddaughter; Jade Sellers.  Friend she considered her sister; Georgia Bettis.  She also leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl McGadney Sr. and Fannie Works, two brothers; Earl Jr (Linda), and Billy Hunt.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the following:  Mayou Clinic (Jacksonville, Phoenix, AZ), University of Southern Alabama (Pulmonology Department) Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast staff and providers (Cardiology, Pulmonology) , White Wilson Pulmonary Providers, Renalus Nephrology staff, STAT Home Health Care staff/Team (Terrie, Rosie and Stephanie), Home Provider (Allison Edwards) for their support throughout her illness and during her final days.
