David William BeckerOctober 30, 1945 ~ July 7, 2017 (age 71)
David William Becker, age 71, passed away suddenly July 7, 2017, while working (as he was known to always do). Mr. Becker was a very devoted husband to his cherished wife, Carol Becker and is survived by her and seven children, 31 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

He gave his heart to God in 1974 and carried the shield of God with him from that time forward. He was known as "The Modern Blacksmith". He farried horses all through the Panhandle and won Third place in the world in the Eagle Eye horseshoe making contest for 3 years and was also one of the world’s best Heart Bar Specialist for lame horses.
He grew up in Illinois on a dairy and pig farm before going into the Air Force. He retired from Eglin Air Force Base and settled in this area. He worked the Whitesands Arabian Horse Farm where he started The Modern Blacksmith and has served the Panhandle area ever since. He was well respected by those that were blessed to know him. He was the gentlest hardworking Christian man that will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.
